Abstract: In order to solve these problems in the automotive assembly line, more advanced RFID technology is applied to realize the informatization of the automotive assembly process.
In the traditional process, the automobile assembly line is mainly used in the bar code technology, the workstation employees to take a manual way to scan the body VIN code and parts bar code for vehicle tracking and assembly information collection, the whole collection process is relatively time-consuming.
When the barcode is damaged, stained and unrecognizable, employees need to manually enter the vehicle VIN code or parts code, which has a high error rate and takes a long time, making it difficult to speed up the production beat.
The degree of visualization of the production site needs to be improved, and it is necessary to provide workers with real-time and accurate assembly guidance to prevent the occurrence of omission and misassembly, as well as real-time monitoring of the assembly of vehicles in the production line.
I. RFID technology applications
(1) Technical principle
RFID uses the radar backscattering principle to transmit signals between the tag and reader, with large data storage, read-write, non-contact, long recognition distance, fast recognition speed, good confidentiality, strong penetration, long life, good environmental adaptability and the ability to identify multiple tags at the same time, etc., and can work in a variety of harsh environments.
(2) Applicability analysis
RFID technology is not just a simple replacement of bar code technology, its application in the discrete manufacturing industry will change the production and operation of discrete manufacturing enterprises.
RFID to replace the bar code in the automotive production line on the vehicle marking and tracking, the entire process without human intervention, can be reduced to a great extent to reduce the labor intensity of workers and the error rate.
II. Solutions
(1) System architecture
The system utilizes the RFID software middleware deployed in the workshop application server to carry out unified management of the workshop reader network, and collects and processes data in real time for storage in the data server.
(2) Application process
Assembly line for the assembly line work system, all the vehicles need to be assembled need to be transported through the assembly frame of the spreader or table plate to one link after another, until the completion of all the processes.
Therefore, this program UHF RFID electronic tags are bound with the spreader and platform, when the vehicle is placed on the spreader or platform, through the backstage management system, the vehicle VIN number is bound with the electronic tag ID information on the spreader or platform.
Installation of UHF RFID read-write in each assembly station. In the assembly station, the ultra-high frequency read-write reads the vehicle label, obtains the corresponding vehicle VIN code through the background, and displays the corresponding parts installation information, the staff installs the corresponding parts.
(3) Application Deployment
In the final assembly line, all the use of hanger mode for the transportation of the vehicle body, and the need for body information recognition points, such as pick-up points, electric tightening, SRS terminals, etc., the deployment of RFID equipment.
Assembly line, all the use of skids for the transport of the body, such as the left cabin wiring harness, right cabin wiring harness, marking class equipment, etc., installed RFID tags on the skids, installed in the key position of the roller bed of the RFID read-write, the body of information recognition and tracking, and uploaded to the different systems on the assembly line.
(4) System function
Based on the RFID technology assembly line application, with the following functions:
1. The system can automatically obtain the body number when the car body is on the spreader and bind the body number with the RFID information so that it corresponds to the production information. And when the car body is converted between the spreader and the table plate, it can automatically complete the transfer of information to ensure that the information flow of the car body in the whole assembly line is correct and continuous.
2. When the car body reaches the assembly station, it can automatically obtain the body specification information and display the corresponding operation process in the terminal of the station, and it can provide real-time and accurate assembly guidance to the assembly workers.
3. After the system completes the assembly at the workstation, it can automatically record and save the assembly information, including the information of the assembler and the assembled parts, so as to facilitate the subsequent quality tracking.
4. Combine RFID technology with on-site visualization system to monitor the vehicle in production and know the production line situation and vehicle assembly progress in real time.
5. System with parts error prevention function, body specification information has a corresponding parts coding rules, in the workplace assembly, such as parts code does not match, the system will real-time alarm prompts.
6. The system has the function of process error prevention, when the flow to the current workstation, the system will automatically check the previous process, when the previous process is not completed or error, it will also be reminded in the workstation, to achieve the rapid correction of process errors.
